I needed a few trays to finish off a couple of designs I have been working on. I couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to make my own. I started off with a dollar store tray and some extra fabric that was left over from another project.
I used mod Podge to glue on the fabric. Which I slathered on the tray and the fabric, and then several coats on top.
It worked well, but the gloss finish did show some imperfection.
Here it is all styled up, and for a cost of 2 dollars for the tray. I would say it was an extremely affordable project, since I already had the mod podge and the fabric. I did a few more trays that I will share later.
